Overview
DubBot is the automated web quality assurance platform that WSU uses to scan websites for accessibility, SEO, broken links, content governance, and other quality issues. It provides an easy to navigate UI to see what issues exist and provides detailed information on how to fix them.
Dubbot offers the following features for site owners:
- Web Accessibility Checks – Scans for WCAG 2.1/2.2 compliance issues like missing alt text, low color contrast, or improper heading structures.
- PDF Accessibility Monitoring – Inventories and checks PDFs for accessibility problems.
- Image Inventory – Lists all site images with metadata, size, and alt text.
- Web Governance Policies – Flags pages that violate content standards (e.g., outdated info, unapproved forms).
- Authenticated Content Scanning – Securely tests protected areas like intranets and customer portals.
- Broken Link Checks – Identifies and reports broken links to improve UX and SEO.
- SEO Checks – Detects SEO issues to boost search visibility.
- Uptime Monitoring – Alerts when a site’s status changes.
- Task Management – Integrates with GitHub, GitLab, and Jira to track fixes.
- Spelling & Readability Checks – Ensures content quality and brand consistency.
- Customizable Reporting – Export executive summaries or detailed issue reports.
