UPPM 10.45 – Electronic and Information Technology (EIT) Accessibility
WSU’s commitment to providing equal access to electronic and information technology (EIT) to all students, staff, faculty, and others with disabilities. EIT includes instructional materials, documents, media, and other information provided through WSU’s telecommunication products, websites, online learning services, software systems, and information kiosks.
The policy outlines the standards, responsibilities, and requirements for ensuring the accessibility of materials and information provided through University EIT.
This policy’s standards follows Washington State USER-01 Accessibility Policy; University policies and guidelines, including WSU’s UPPM 10.60; state and federal guidelines, regulations, and laws, including Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (29 USC Sec. 701 et seq.); the Americans with Disabilities Act, as amended (42 USC Sec. 12101 et seq.); and Revised Code of Washington (Discrimination—Human Rights Commission) RCW Chapter 49.60.

USER-01 Accessibility Policy
This policy establishes that people with disabilities be provided the same services and content available to people without disabilities. This includes web-based applications, software systems, and electronically published documents.
USER-01 Accessibility Policy follows the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) as a minimum accessibility standard.
