WSU President Dr. Betsy Cantwell is the system president and chief executive officer of the 6-campus WSU system. Named the university’s 12th president on February 6, 2025, President Cantwell sets the strategic vision and direction for the WSU system, advocates for higher-education policy, engages in philanthropic priorities, and represents WSU at the state and federal levels.

The university system is also supported by a team of executive leaders and the president’s cabinet, who help represent WSU and its campus communities both externally and across the university’s statewide system.
