The annual benefits Open Enrollment period for eligible WSU faculty and staff begins Tuesday, Nov. 1, and runs through Wednesday, Nov. 30.

Due in part to the success of previous COVID‑19 vaccination efforts, Washington State University will eliminate the employee, contractor, and volunteer COVID‑19 vaccine requirement in most settings.
Drones show potential to improve salmon nest counts
Struggling salmon populations could get some help from the sky. A WSU study showed that drone photography of the Wenatchee River during spawning season can be effective in estimating the number of rocky hollows salmon create to lay their eggs, also called “redds.”
WSU and Alaska Airlines celebrate longstanding partnership
Alaska Airlines executives and WSU leaders gathered on the Pullman campus last week for a series of events, including a prize-filled paper airplane toss, to celebrate the relationship between the two fixtures of the Pacific Northwest.
