Dear Colleagues,
We made it! A heartfelt thank you goes out to each of you for your incredible support of our students, our campus, and each other. To quote famed former head football coach Jim Walden, “I can’t tell someone who isn’t a Cougar what it’s like. There’s something that happens at Washington State; you quietly and subtly become infected…Washington State is a passion. Being a Cougar is a passion.”
As we enter into the final weeks of the semester, I hope you will all take some time to reflect on and celebrate the impact you are having on WSU Pullman. Each one of you is ensuring the success of our students and our institution not only today, but into the future.
I’m delighted to share with you some exciting new updates:
- We’ve completed nearly a year of the weekly Pullman Campus Newsletter, and I want to thank those of you who have provided thoughtful feedback. This will be the last issue of the newsletter in its current form, since we will be shifting to a blog format this fall. Stay tuned!
- This fall, we will be launching the WSU Pullman Signature Art Series. This set of events will highlight cross-collaborative events in the arts and humanities, and will feature the talents of WSU faculty, staff, and students. We will share more details in the coming months.
In the meantime, I’m looking forward to celebrating the class of 2023 at the end of this week, and I’m enjoying the beautiful sunny weather that finally decided to make an appearance. I hope you all get to spend time this summer with friends, family, and of course, pets.
Thank you again, and as always, Go Cougs!
Sincerely,
Elizabeth
