Each scholars will share their perspectives upon conducting Indigenous research in collaborative, respectful ways, informed by traditional knowledge. These meeting are open to all students.\u00a0 The first two meetings are described below.<\/p>\n<p><strong>September 19th<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Dr. Don Pepion, <em>Aamskapipiikani<\/em> (Blackfeet). College Professor of Anthropology, New Mexico State University. <\/strong>Dr. Pepion lectures extensively upon Indigenous Research Methods and cultural protocols.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/s3.wp.wsu.edu\/uploads\/sites\/578\/2017\/09\/dr-pepion.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-949 size-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.wp.wsu.edu\/uploads\/sites\/578\/2017\/09\/dr-pepion-198x198.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"198\" height=\"198\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><strong>September 26th<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Dr. Hilario Chi Canul, Yucatec Maya. Professor of Maya, <\/strong><strong>University of Quintana Roo; Actor; Film industry consultant.<\/strong> Dr. Chi Canul forces upon bilingual education and Maya language revival. He has been involved in numerous public projects involving the Maya language, including Mel Gibson\u2019s <em>Apocalypto<\/em>.
