DESCRIPTION:Dr. Sweeney Windchief\, from Montana State University\, and Michael Munson\, from Salish Kootenai College\, will be presenting their workshop\, which demonstrates an innovative restructuring of doctoral committees to better match Indigenous kinship structures\, at the 46th Annual National Indian Education Association (NIEA) Convention & Trade Show. The interactive session will include discussion among participants of the variety of available mentoring activities that grow the number of American Indian/Alaskan Native students who begin\, and successfully complete\, graduate programs in Science\, Technology\, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
