Faculty Resources

We will provide a high-quality Coug experience for our students while following current recommendations for protecting the health and safety of our community.

What you need to know now

  • The Spring 2021 semester will look much the same as the Fall 2020 semester, with the majority of classes being taught at a distance. An exemption process will ensure that classes requiring an in-person component are done safely. Read the full message about Spring 2021 from President Kirk Schulz and Provost and Executive Vice President Elizabeth Chilton.
  • As part of the change, spring semester will start Jan. 19, which is about a week later than originally planned.
  • WSU will host academic breaks on Feb. 25, March 17 and April 13 instead of a weeklong Spring Break in March.
  • Final examinations will take place from May 3 to May 7Academic catalogs for each of WSU’s campuses can be found online.
  • A toolkit for faculty participating in distance delivery is available online.
  • If you have questions about teaching this fall or encounter any difficulties as you adjust your course plans, please contact Vice Provost Mary Wack (mwack@wsu.edu).
