Are all student fees mandatory for all students?

No. Some student fees are mandatory for all students, while others are mandatory for undergraduate students only. Some student fees are optional. Additional details about the different student fees are included below:  Note that these are specific to the Pullman campus.

Mandatory:

  • Compton Union (CUB) Fee: $120/semester paid by both graduate and undergraduate students.
  • Chinook Building Fee: $98/semester is paid by only undergraduate students.
  • Services and Activities (S&A) Fee: $279/semester paid by both graduate and undergraduate students.
  • Stadium Fee: $25/semester paid by only undergraduate students.
  • Student Health Fee: $244/semester paid by both graduate and undergraduate students.
  • Student Media Fee: $5/semester paid by both graduate and undergraduate students.
  • Student Recreation Center (SRC) Fee: $157/semester paid by both graduate and undergraduate students.
  • Technology Fee: $20/semester paid by only undergraduate students.
  • Transit Fee: $36.08/semester paid by both graduate and undergraduate students.

Non-Mandatory:

  • Chinook Yearbook
  • Cougar Green Fund
  • Parking Permits
  • Sports Pass
