1. Advance the University's "World Class, Face to Face" brand.

Plan and execute a continuing campaign to deliver the university's message to prospective students, donors, influencers and the statewide community.

Sustain and improve the look and content of the university's publications and websites.
2. Improve internal communication and build a shared commitment to and voice for portraying the excellence that is Washington State University.

Plan and organize campus events that showcase the achievements and progress of the university.

Increase the quality and availability of news and information for the university community.
3. Increase Washington State University's enrollment of high-performing first-year students (3.6 GPA or higher) from Washington.

Continue to enhance recruitment material and media for delivery to prospective students.

Implement and promote the Regents Scholars scholarship program.
4. Enhance Washington State University's reputation as one of the nation's premier research universities among influencers and business and opinion leaders throughout Washington.

Expand and improve relationships with media statewide, and provide story ideas that focus on university research and other achievements.

Support activities such as the Murrow Symposium that draw attention to the academic strengths of the university.
5. Foster a spirit of loyalty and commitment to Washington State University from its alumni and friends.

Increase outreach efforts, with particular focus on young alumni involvement.

Maintain the quality and increase distribution of the Washington State Magazine.
6. Enrich the education and campus-life experience of students, enhance the quality of life in the region, and perpetuate positive attitudes towards Washington State University.

Organize and present a variety of high quality entertainment and cultural events to the university and greater community.

Provide support for local and regional activities and projects that benefit the area.
7. Maintain a first class publications, printing and communications program that projects the character and values of Washington State University and supports the University's Brand Development and Marketing Plan.

Invest in new technologies that will increase the quality of university publications and those that create more efficient production and delivery of materials.

Strengthen the relationship between the WSU Press and academic areas to better support the production of scholarly publications and journals.
