Former White House Bureau Chief Helen Thomas and CBS News Chief Washington Correspondent Bob Schieffer were the keynote speakers for the 2009 Murrow Symposium. They were honored with the 2009 Edward R. Murrow Lifetime Achievement Award in Journalism and in Broadcast Journalism, respectively.
